18 Dec 20

Penns Wood, St Andrew's Church Grounds, Church Ope Cove, Penn's Weare, Penn's Copse, Rufus Castle and The Mermaid Track

Dull, wet and windy summed up today and unfortunately there wasn't much to write about.

In fact of all the birds I recorded today, I only saw 12 out of the 19 noted, with only one real highlight and that was a Fulmar making its way down the coastline. The weather was so miserable out to sea, my camera refused to focus on the Fulmar and manual focus was an absolute disaster. So not a lot of photos today. Still it was good to get some fresh air and of course Ted enjoys his walks.

Here are a few images and videos from today:

A very windy Church Ope Cove.

Well I'm not going to win any awards for this video, but I was amazed as to how long this Kestrel was hovering in really windy conditions above the cove.

Just one of the many Cuttlefish bones washed up on the beach, which wasn't surprising........

...........considering the strength of the waves crashing onto the beach.

So many Hebes in flower and not a single insect to enjoy them.

Run Ted run
