There aren't enough superlatives to describe today's weather, so I will just use one YUCK. It was driving drizzle when I left and continued until I got home an hour or so later.
However it wasn't all gloom and doom, and I least managed to locate the Yellow-browed Warbler albeit really briefly, and had it confirmed as it called a couple of times. Also in Penns Wood were a Chiffchaff and a Goldcrest.
On the beach were 2 Rock Pipits and a Pied Wagtail. Whilst out to sea 2 Kittiwakes were seen heading south.
Here are a few images and videos from today:
Not evident here in Penns Wood, but it was wet. Just a brief view of the Yellow-browed Warbler and a couple of calls from it, on its 6th day here.
Birds Recorded: 2 Gannet, Herring Gull, Great Black-backed Gull, 2 Kittiwake, Wood Pigeon, 2 Rock Pipit, 1 Pied Wagtail, Dunnock, Robin, Blackbird, 1 Chiffchaff, 1 Yellow-browed Warbler, 1 Goldcrest, Long-tailed Tit, Great Tit, Blue Tit, Wren, Magpie, Carrion Crow, 1 Raven, House Sparrow, Chaffinch and Goldfinch
This Blue Tit was at the top of Penns Wood and appeared to be "nibbling" the buds on the Sycamore.
Here it is just concentrating on one bud.
This is the lichen - Botryolepraria lesdainii in the wall below St Andrew's Church.
And a complete contrast to yesterdays calm seas.
It was pretty rough with a good southerly wind pushing the waves and spray onto the beach.
I thought I would video the sea, and who should video bomb my movie, but Ted.
Oh dear the state of him.
That will be a bath you get home then Ted.
