Some great highlights today, with my first Blackcap of the year, a female at the back of the cove, plus a Chiffchaff.
The beach was pretty busy with an Oystercatcher on the rocks, and 2 Rock Pipits, 7 Pied Wagtails, 1 Grey Wagtail and a female Black Redstart all catching Kelp Flies on the beach
With plenty of sunshine, though there was a bit of a nip in the air, there were a few hoverflies on the flowering Hebes, with 2 Common Droneflies and at least 3 Spotted Meliscaeva.
