Wakeham

Today was spent in the back garden, catching up on some long overdue tidying up and fence repairs.

It was good to see the "Cherry Tree" Robin is still about, as it followed me about all afternoon. However not so with the "Courtyard" Robin, which disappears for days and then puts in an appearance for a few minutes before disappearing again.

In the fairly mild and sunny conditions a Bloody-nosed Beetle was sat on the south facing wall and two Common Droneflies were hovering around the flowering Rosemary.

Birds Recorded:
Herring Gull
Wood Pigeon
Dunnock
Robin
Blackbird
Great Tit
Blue Tit
Magpie
Carrion Crow
Jackdaw
Starling
House Sparrow
Chaffinch
Goldfinch

The "Cherry Tree" Robin was happy to take these mealworms off the top of the Pizza Oven, not so though......

............from hand. I'll try again tomorrow.

Four House Sparrows and close-by another 16+ waiting for me to move away from the bird feeders.

Hoverflies Recorded:
2 Common Dronefly (Eristalis tenax)

I know it was sunny, but was it really.............

...........that warm for this Bloody-nosed Beetle to be out!!
