Out and about

On the way back from Dorchester I dropped into the Jurassic Pools near Littlemoor, to see if there was anything of interest there. The first thing I came across was a Peacock butterfly, which followed a Brimstone butterfly I saw earlier in Dorchester.

Other highlights in and around the pools were five Mallard, a lone Moorhen, 2 Meadow Pipits and a Chiffchaff. The latter deep in the reedbeds.

After leaving the pools and driving home a Little Egret flew over the car by the Manor Roundabout at Radipole.
