It was another night with the Trail Camera on, but this time looking down the garden. And just to make it a little more interesting, I placed some loose seed on the stepping stones. And I wasn't disappointed.
A mouse and a very bouncy one.
I'm not sure which species it is though.
The welcome sunshine also saw many bees, a wasp and a Dark-edged Bee-fly. Many of which were by the pond, where 2 Frogs were keeping their eyes peeled for a potential meal.
Overhead a Peregrine was the only bird of note, whilst in the neighbours privet hedge there was the sound of Dunnock chicks being fed in their nest.
Here are a few images from this afternoon.
A grab shot of a Peregrine Falcon flying over the cottage.
A lot easier to photograph is this adult male Dunnock having a break from feeding its youngsters and having a bit of a song about it as well.
One of at least two Frogs in the pond.
There have been a few Ashy Mining Bees about over the past few days. This one was the first to stop for any length of time.
Here it is cleaning itself, before flying off.
And it's always good to see a ladybird or two in the garden, keeping the aphids down. This is a 7-Spot Ladybird.
And like last year the Common Shieldbugs are back o the valerian.
