Wakeham

I'm still taking it easy at home, so I took the opportunity to have another go with the Trail Camera. I switched it on last and let run until this afternoon.

Unfortunately I forgot that the camera was pointing at the mini water cascade and of course every time the sun came out, the solar panels powered up the pump. So there on the SD card were some 200+ videos and images which I had to go through and delete the non wildlife triggered shots.

One good thing that came out of it though, and that was the power supply was still full, despite the wasted footage.

So what videos and images did it capture. Well through the night a Frog popped its head out of the water in the pond and two cats set off the sensor. One was Bailey the neighbours cat and another unmarked cat.

During the day the visitors to the pond and water cascade were a Wood Pigeon, Dunnock, Blackbird, Magpie, House Sparrow and Goldfinch

Also "captured" was a Peacock butterfly and a few Bumblebees of unknown species.

Here are a few of the videos:

Not that clear, but bottom centre of the frame a Frog can be seen with its head just sticking out of the water.

A Dunnock visits the pond. Whoops, note the daytime temperature was 26.0°C in the sun. I might have to give the camera a bit of shade.

A male Blackbird bathing in the pond.

House Sparrows and Dunnock around and in the pond

A Wood Pigeon checks out the water cascade

And last but not least 2 Goldfinches have a quick dip in the water bowls
