A slightly earlier walk than planned, as I was expecting a delivery. And it was quite obvious from the start of my walk it that the clear blue skies to the east were not going to reach Portland before I finished my walk.
Consequently there were no bees or butterflies seen, and the only 2 flying insects I came across were a Common Drone Fly and a Syrphus torvus hoverfly
There were also no migrants either, so the only highlight on the bird front were the pair of Long-tailed Tits now collecting feathers for their nest at the cove.
