Wakeham

Knowing what the weather was going to be like today, I decided to put the moth trap out last night. Turns out it was a good decision, as by mid-morning the heavens opened and it remained like that right up until the evening.

Before the rain started, I brought the trap into the conservatory and as I was walking back towards the house a Chiffchaff started calling. So I at least managed one migrant bird today.

So the moths, well there were 36 of 15 species, of which there were 5 new species for my Portland List, thanks to my good friend Ed Wilson (FoPL) who identified 4 new moths for my Portland List. And also to Sean at @MothIDUK (UKMothIdentification) for corrections on a few, thank you both.

Please feel free to look at some of moths from 11 Aug 20 I am still trying to ID - Here.
