Penns Wood, St Andrew's Church and Church Ope Cove

Can the weather get any murkier. It really is gloomy and despite the over-wintering Firecrest in Penns Wood and a Chiffchaff in Wakeham, there was very little else about.

The only real highlight was coming across flowering Daffodils in the grounds of Pennsylvania Castle

Birds Recorded:
1 Black-headed Gull
3 Herring Gull
Wood Pigeon
Dunnock
Robin
Blackbird
1 Chiffchaff
1 Firecrest
Long-tailed Tit
Great Tit
Blue Tit
Wren
Magpie
Carrion Crow
Chaffinch
Goldfinch

On the beach there was just one Wren, whilst sat on the rocks were a Herring Gull and a Black-headed Gull.

The Black-headed Gull had, had enough of the waves coming over its perch and was off. Note its head is just starting to darken up for its Summer plumage.

The Herring Gull also got a good soaking.

In fact going by its expression I don't think it was too impressed and was.........

..........off

Plants Recorded:

My first Daffodils of the year. These are in the Pennsylvania Castle Gardens.

Ted:

And a few photos of Ted today.

The calm before the..............
