Wakeham

Today was very wet and muggy. In fact it rained for most of the night until mid-afternoon.

With the new pond in place I set up the Trail Camera last night, in the hope of finding out what has been knocking over the some of the small ornaments around the pond. Having checked the cameras this morning, the only visitor to the pond was a Woodpigeon, so I am none the wiser as to what it was.

In the conservatory a Lesser Yellow Underwing (Noctua comes) was taking refuge from the rain.

This Woodpigeon is the first visitor to the pond I have recorded so far.

I'm pretty sure this is a Lesser Yellow Underwing (Noctua comes). And it probably wasn't the best choice of background to photograph it.

And a far better shot of it, with its wings partially open.
