It might have been pretty cold, but there's nothing like a good walk in the sun, as long as you are dressed properly of course.
They were a bit of an effort to find, but my quarry today was finding the Purple Sandpipers I saw on 29 Dec 20, between the Obelisk and Pulpit. It took awhile and I eventually found two, which then flew east and joined another 3. Not sure where the other 4 were.
Also along here were a few Rock Pipits, but out to sea, I struggled to see any auks or Guillemots, but at least I picked up both Cormorant and Shag close in.
On the rocks I came across a Sea Slater (Ligia oceanica) which was deceased. Photo below:
On the way home a pair of Ravens circled above the road at Cheyne Weare's.

A bright sunny day and along this stretch of ledges were 5 Purple Sandpipers.
Not easy to photograph as the sun was behind the Purple Sandpipers.
This one is having a siesta.
After a brief nap, the two were back feeding on the ledge, before..............

And here we have four of the five Purple Sandpipers.
Also on the ledges was this Rock Pipit feeding close to the Pulpit.
This is a Sea Slater and also goes by the names of Sea Roach, Sea Louse or Common Slater. More on this Sea Slater Here.
