Wakeham

It was a day spent working in the garden and packing away the last of the dahlia's. I was amazed that from just one dahlia, I was able to split the tubers into 15 separate plants. The flower beds are going to look amazing this Summer.

Not much today, bird-wise that is, just an overwintering Robin singing from the back of the neighbours garden and around 15 Goldfinches which have a set routine now. They all gather on a neighbours Sycamore prior to flying off to their roost somewhere around Old Quarry Lane. I have noticed though that the flock is around half the size it was a few months back.

It's been awhile since I have uploaded a photo of the Khaki Campbells (Huey and Luey) and they are doing really well in their new enclosed duck pen. And we even get an egg a day.

Birds Recorded: Herring Gull, Wood Pigeon, Collared Dove, Dunnock, Robin, Blackbird, Great Tit, Blue Tit, Magpie, Carrion Crow, Jackdaw, House Sparrow, Chaffinch and Goldfinch
