Where have all the birds gone!!! The only birds of note today were singles of Chiffchaff, Firecrest, Goldcrest and Great Spotted Woodpecker, all of which were in Penns Wood.
The beach wasn't too bad with 8 Rock Pipits, 1 Grey Wagtail and the 1st winter Pied Wagtail, but it wasn't the best of days.
Even though the sun was out, it looks like the German Wasp nest may well be dormant now. However the sun was warm enough to entice a juvenile Wall Lizard to do a bit of sunbathing in the church grounds.

At the back of the cove was this male Blackbird.
This male Kestrel was in the church grounds eyeing up his next meal.
It was pretty close to where I was standing, so I thought I would attempt a video of it. Annoyingly the camera kept trying to focus on the branches in front of it, so instead of a nice long video, we've just got a short edited one.
A Grey Squirrel in Penns Wood, keeps a watchful eye on me and Ted.
And the Japonica berries in the wood are really splitting now.
