When the wind comes in from the south-east you can certainly feel the difference in temperature, especially when its a very late afternoon walk and the sun is setting.
I did at least manage to get to the cove before the shadows covered the north-east corner of the cliff face. Unfortunately with the wind coming straight in off the sea, there wasn't a single bird to be seen there.
The only highlights were singles of Fulmar, Gannet, Sparrowhawk and Stock Dove.
Birds Recorded:
1 Fulmar
1 Gannet
Sparrowhawk
Kestrel
Herring Gull
Great Black-backed Gull
1 Stock Dove
Wood Pigeon
Collared Dove
Dunnock
Robin
Blackbird
Great Tit
Blue Tit
Wren
Magpie
Carrion Crow
Jackdaw
Starling
House Sparrow
Chaffinch
Goldfinch
A Sparrowhawk high above Rufus Castle which was........
...........just on the limit on how far my new camera could zoom in on it.
Only the one Stock Dove seen in Bumpers Lane Quarry. I'm sure the other one was close-by.
