Wakeham

Today was spent in the back garden, pruning the Roses, cutting back the Buddleia and having a general  tidy up. Next on the "Things To Do List" is the weeding. That can wait for another day.

The weather was dry and sunny, but it was pretty cold. So it was a bit of a surprise to see a Honey Bee flying around the garden.

Main highlight was a Chiffchaff calling from my neighbour's garden. Possibly the same bird that has been in the local area for the past 2 weeks.

And there were a pair of Robins about. The first time I have seen more than one in the garden this Winter.

Goldfinches on the Nyjer Feeder. The individual on the right seems a lot paler than the adult on the left. Possibly a 1st Winter going through a moult.

Another Goldfinch looks on patiently for a perch to become vacant on the feeder below.

One of the two Robins in the garden today.

Bees Recorded:
1 Honey Bees (Apis mellifera)
