Wakeham

Another lovely day, and another one where I was stuck at home. So the only wildlife sightings today were from the back garden this evening; just as the sun began to sink towards the horizon.

Highlights were 2 Blue-tailed Damselflies, dozens of Marmalade Hoverflies and a Potter Wasp.

On my side of the gate are 3 Khaki Campbell Ducks. Sorry Ted you're going to have to wait until I put them away.


Birds Recorded: Herring Gull, Wood Pigeon, Collared Dove, 1 House Martin, 1 Pied Wagtail, Dunnock, Blackbird, Carrion Crow, Jackdaw, House Sparrow and Goldfinch

Dragonflies and Damselflies Recorded: Blue-tailed Damselfly (Ischnura elegans)

Butterflies Recorded: Large White

Bees Recorded: Common Carder (Bombus pascuorum)

Wasps Recorded: Potter Wasp (Ectemnius sexcinctus)

Hoverflies Recorded: 12+ Marmalade Hoverfly (Episyrphus balteatus) and 1 Long Hoverfly (Sphaerophoria scripta)
