Wakeham
A very very busy day, finishing off the Duck Run, building a gate, and several other jobs which I really needed to get done. So now walk today, but a quick break this morning to see what was in the back garden, before I got stuck in.
A day of three's with 3 Ravens overhead, 3 Common Buzzards being mobbed by the local gulls, 3 male Blue-tailed Damselflies around the pond and of course the 3 Khaki Campbell's being shown there new home.
Here are a few images and a video of the Semaphore Flies on the pond.
One of the 3 Ravens seen overhead on a few occasions today.
And here we have the first Blue-tailed Damselfly
And the second
And the third. Still no females seen!!
Didn't quite make 3 Azure Damselflies.
Just the 2 around the pond.
A Red Admiral dropped in for a few seconds before heading off to another garden.
A Hairy Shieldbug (Dolycoris baccarum)
And here is another Shieldbug. This is a 2nd instar nymph of a Common Green Shieldbug.
And another Common Green Shieldbug, this time a 4th instar nymph
A Leafhopper, but unfortunately I haven't been able ti ID yet!!
A male Swollen-thighed Beetle
A male Semaphore Fly
And here is another male one performing to a female.
This is a female Broad Centurian (Chloromyia formosa).
And here are the 3 Khaki Campbell's enjoying the outdoors for the first time.
Mind you I don't think Ted is to impressed by the newcomers
