Wakeham
Another busy day in the garden, but managed a few interesting sightings with a family of Slow-worms under the corrugated metal sheet I put down for them. Chuffed to bits that they are in the garden. Also seen was a pristine Comma, a few Large and Small Whites and another female Adonis Blue.
A Silver Y moth graced its presence briefly and were a few micro moths flying about, but were never found when they landed.
Overhead there were 3 Swifts, several House Martins and a few Swallows.
And junior has managed to get back up onto the roof of the cottage. At least he managed to evade the Foxes last night, when he was hiding behind the Gnomes at the front of the cottage.
Now that this juvenile Herring Gull has found its way back onto the roof, there is lots of preening to do and...........
..........wing stretching.
Its been a few weeks since I have had a look undo the corrugated metal sheet I put down for the Slow-worms and it has been a great success.
Other than a few butterflies in the garden, this Silver Y dropped in briefly. You can just about make out the "Y" in its wing, from which it gets its given name.
And a Honey Bee captured at 1/2000sec. Unfortunately with the dull conditions the ISO was set at 1600, hence the grainy image.
