Another breezy day and another day of showers. At least I managed to get my timings right and missed most of the heavy ones. Very few migrants today and sadly no Firecrests seen or heard.
Here are my sightings from this morning:
Wakeham Wood: 4 Chiffchaff and 1 Goldcrest
Wakeham Railway Cuttings: 1 Chiffchaff, 1 Blackcap, 12 Linnet and several Pied Wagtail
Penns Wood: 1 Goldcrest
St Andrew's Church: 1 Chiffchaff
Church Ope Cove: 2 Rock Pipits, 1 Grey Wagtail on the beach and out to sea 20+ Gannets. and a Cormorant fishing along the shoreline.
Penns Copse: 2 Chiffchaff, 1 Swallow, 7+ Linnet and several Pied Wagtails
Mermaid Track: 1 Goldcrest and a Song Thrush

Bees Recorded: Honey Bees (Apis mellifera) and Ivy Bee (Colletes hederae)
Wasps Recorded: German Wasp (Vespula germanica) and Common Wasp (Vespula vulgaris)
Hoverflies Recorded: Common Drone Fly (Eristalis tenax), Tapered Drone Fly (Eristalis pertinax) and Marmalade Hoverfly (Episyrphus balteatus)
Flies Recorded: Kelp Fly (Coelopa frigida)
Bugs and Beetles Recorded: Harlequin Ladybird (Harmonia axyridis, 5 form - succinea and 1 form - conspicua)
Slugs and Snails Recorded: Black Slug (Arion ater)
