Bumpers Lane, The Cuttings, Broadcroft Quarry Lane, Broadcroft Butterfly Reserve, Upper Horse Paddock and Lower Horse Paddock

Well my first attempt of a walk this year, was a complete disaster. I managed to walk to The Cuttings and had a look out across the sea, but on the way back via Broadcroft Quarry Lane, the heavens opened and I got absolutely soaked. Such is life.

I managed three new species for the year, a Song Thrush singing away in the butterfly reserve, a Chaffinch along Broadcroft Quarry Lane and 4 Jackdaws in the lower horse paddock. If there was anything else about I couldn't see it for the intense rain.

Mammals Recorded:
1 Fox

One of the resident Foxes in Bumpers Lane Quarry. And at 4:00am this morning I could hear a vixen calling from the estate behind the cottage.

Birds Recorded:
Herring Gull

1 Wren
Magpie
Carrion Crow
4 Jackdaw

Ted:

Well Ted's run started off well, and then he turned and stood still in front of me!!
