I think the start of of this year has been the worse start I have ever had for seeing birds. There was no way I was going out to get a soaking, and blown away by a south-westerly which was gusting at over 50mph. So yet again the bird watching was confined to cottage.
I at least got my timings right when I glanced out the front window this morning and noted my first Great Black-backed Gull and Magpie of the year.
This could take a long time to build up a notable year list!!!
