Yep, I know!! Here I am back at the meadow again. But the good news is, I'm glad I did as I came across two newly emerged Marbled White butterflies. My first this year.
Other highlights were dozens of Garden Grass-veneer moths in the grass. Everywhere I walked they were taking off around my feet. In amongst them I came across two Thistle Ermines.

There are still many Meadow Browns about.

There seem to be fewer and fewer Common Blues on the wing now.

Two male Swollen-thighed Beetles. Males aren't very tolerant with each other and the one on the right was forced of the Knapweed a few seconds after I took this photo.
