What a lovely afternoon, though one of the climbers at The Cuttings is probably thinking the opposite, when he fell and dislocated his leg. The Portland Coastguard Search & Rescue team did a great job getting the casualty to the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance, where the Critical Care Practioners took over.
After watching the rescue and the helicopter take off, Ted and I carried on with our walk. It was a really warm afternoon and a bit too much for Ted, so I made it a short one. Main highlight was a Hummingbird Hawk-moth, which whizzed past be along Bumpers Lane, plus several Silver Y's along our walk
Peering over the cliff top I could hear a Chiffchaff singing from below in Penn's Weare.
