Yuck, that just about sums up the weather today. When the heavy rain moved north late morning, it left behind damp and really foggy conditions. It was only until late afternoon that the sun finally appeared, albeit briefly, as it began to set.
As it started to dry out the Goldfinches returned to the feeders and were trying out my new acquisition, a 35cm long nyjer feeder.
Today was the first day we have had rain in quite awhile and it was torrential. Not even the new nyjer feeder could entice the Goldfinches to brave the elements. Though they did eventually arrive once the front had moved on.

This Buff-tailed Bumblebee was trying to warm up on the shed door.
