Lower Horse Paddock, Broadcroft Quarry Lane, Broadcroft Pools, Bumpers Lane, Bumpers Quarry and Broadcroft Butterfly Reserve

It was another beautiful day and though the walk was a fairly short one, distance wise, it took quite sometime to cover with lots to see.

Main highlights were:

Lower Horse Paddock: 1 Kestrel, 1 Tree Pipit over, 3 Meadow Pipit, 12+ Yellow Wagtail, 2 Whinchat, 8 Wheatear, 1 Common Whitethroat and 100+ Starlings

Bumpers Hump: 1 Blackcap and 2 Chiffchaff/Willow Warblers

Bumpers Quarry: 5 Chiffchaff/ Willow Warbler.

Broadcroft Quarry Lane: 3 Chiffchaff, 2 Willow Warbler and 2 Spotted Flycatcher

Fortunately its non the worse for its misadventure.

This Chiffchaff doesn't have to move far for a meal.

A Robin's Pincushion on a Dog Rose. It is a gall caused by the larvae of a tiny gall wasp, Dipoloepis rosaea. More on this Here.
