Penns Wood, St Andrew's Church, Church Ope Cove, Church Ope Cove Wood, Cheyne Weare, Southwell Road, Portland Museum, Rufus Castle, Bumpers Lane and Lower Horse Paddock

It was a very overcast day, with very little sun, which would account for just 3 butterfly species seen. Having said that, the hoverflies were out on mass with dozens of Common Droneflies seen along with several other species.

On the bird front there were no migrants seen or heard. The only birds of real interest was a lone Rock Pipit below Cheyne Weare and 3 Gannets way out to sea.
