Portland Bird Observatory, Obs Quarry, Portland Bill and Hut Fields

It was another trip to the Obs Quarry in the hope of seeing a Wryneck and though it took awhile, I did manage a few glimpses of it feeding just above the quarry.

Another good highlight was a Turtle Dove, which was perched on a telegraph pole. I was looking into the sun and before I knew it was there, it took off and headed towards the Crown Estate Fields.

Other highlights were Stonechat, Whinchat, a female Common Redstart, several Common Whitethroat, Blackcap and a few Willow Warblers

Perhaps it was this Wryneck, which was below it in the quarry, but suddenly appeared at the top.

A very short video of it feeding.
