It was a day spent gardening and looking out for any wildlife that might happen to come along. No new birds again, but some good views of a Peregrine, Buzzard and Kestrel passing over.
Sadly not seen, but a Common Whitethroat was singing at the top of the garden. Try as I could, but every time I peered over the vegetable plot to find it, it stopped singing. This happened four times and eventually it disappeared without being seen.
Just one butterfly today a male Orange-tip.
A few bees again including a Lathbury's Nomad Bee (Nomad lathburiana).
And today there were 2 Narcissus Bulb Flies and both distinctly different colours to each other.
It was very warm in the sun, but very windy at times. It didn't seem to bother this Narcissus Bulb Fly, until it got a bit too windy to hang on.
As I was watching an Ashy Mining Bee disappear down its burrow, I noticed this grasshopper. Unfortunately it was too small and to quick for an ID.

It took awhile but eventually this Lathbury's Nomad Bee actually moved and then took off.

..........another one. This is the first time I have seen two together in the garden.
And the Pajupuuhari hoverflies are still "buzzing" around the flower beds.
Ted had a trip to the beach today and is having forty winks on Dawn's lap.
