Rufus Castle, Church Ope Cove, St Andrew's Church and Pennsylvania Castle Wood

Another one of those dreary days on Portland, where the day just got darker and darker. At least it wasn't raining. No highlights at all, no Firecrest, no Chiffchaff and of the 28 Rock Pipits from yesterday just the 5 today, though it does look as if the light-phased individual from 7 Nov 18 has returned.

Here are a few images from this afternoon:

On top of Rufus Castle these 3 Herring Gulls

Number 2 and ...........

Number 3.

Oddity of the day, the light-coloured Rock Pipit is back again.

Not brilliant photos I'm afraid, but it does show the difference between the 2 birds.

The "normal" Rock Pipit........

.....and the Lighter version. I first came across this bird on 7 Nov 18 Here.

Not one Harlequin Ladybird today, this one was in the grounds of St Andrew's Church, but...........

..........two, this one in its usual spot at the top of Penns wood.

The boys again, good as gold.

Wakeham

The Tawny Owl was back last night, calling from the tall trees somewhere around here. In fact it probably hasn't been anywhere, but it's been so wet and windy over the past few weeks, it probably stopped calling.

Here are a few sound tracks, oh and a very fast car which slowed up at Bumpers Lane.

Tawny Owl

Tawny Owl.
