Church Ope Cove

No sign of the Stonechat today, but there are now 2 Chiffchaffs in the hut area, at the back of the cove. On the beach 23 Rock Pipits, a Grey Wagtail and 4 Wren, whilst just off the shoreline 5 Cormorant were fishing in the surf.

A few images from today:

Another watery looking sun. Rain forecast for this evening.

The Rock Pipits are still here in good numbers.......

.........with 23 counted today.

No Stonechat today but a Grey Wagtail instead.

In fact yesterday there were 2 Grey Wagtails, but as I set foot on the beach they both took off.

This one was quite obliging and stopped feeding on several occasions to pose for the camera.

Here are a few more shots.

An over the shoulder look.......

........and one last shot.

There was one Chiffchaff in amongst the ivy at the back of the cove here........

........and another in the bushes on the beach.

A Harlequin Ladybird, this one was in the grounds of St Andrew's Church as I made my way back home.
