Wakeham

It was another day at home and a long overdue mowing session of the "meadow" in the back garden.

There were some good highlights today:
- A mouse caught on the Trail Camera
- Two flocks of Siskin, 15 in the first flock, followed by 7 in the following group a minute later.
-  Plus presumably the "Cherry Tree" Robin from last year, which has taken up residence again for this coming Autumn/Winter spell.

Mammals Recorded:
mouse sp

A mouse feeding on sultanas I put out for the birds early this morning

Birds Recorded in and around the garden:
Herring Gull
Wood Pigeon
Collared Dove
2 Meadow Pipit
Pied Wagtail
Dunnock
Robin
Great Tit
Blue Tit
Magpie
Carrion Crow

................. taking up residence again for this Winter coming.

It certainly sounds very content until.............

............Ted appeared and then it went into alarm mode with that plaintive wheeze. And as it did so above my head it showed its disapproval by...........

..............pooping on me. Apparently that's good luck. Hmm!!

Butterflies Recorded:
Red Admiral

Just the one Red Admiral seen in the garden.

Bees Recorded:
2 Buff-tailed Bumblebee (Bombus terrestris)

Hoverflies Recorded:
10+ Common Dronefly (Eristalis tenax)

Sorry Ted, they're mealworms for the Robin.
