Sadly there was no chance of seeing the Cattle Egret in the Lower Horse paddock today, had it decided to return that is, as there were dog walkers everywhere chucking tennis balls about and not keeping to the public footpath. It was a real shame as other bird watchers turned up on the off chance of seeing it, but they would have been out of luck today.
Main highlights though was 4 Siskins heading north up the island, 2 Skylarks heading south, 8 Meadow Pipits flying around the reserve along with 2 Pied Wagtails and a female Stonechat. Just 2 Swallows seen heading south, and only 4 Chiffchaff seen and heard.
