On the way to checking on the caravan at Littlesea, I stopped off at the Masonic Car park Chiswell to see if I could locate the Grey Phalarope seen there earlier in the day. As per normal it had flown off and unbeknown to me was in the pools by the Chesil Beach Visitors Centre.
I only found out later when I got home, but unfortunately I wasn't feeling that brilliant, so stayed at home.
Further along my journey I noted a Little Egret feeding alongside the waters edge at Ferrybridge.
Having sorted the the caravan out Dawn and I took Ted for a walk from Furzedown Farm and around Tidmoor Cove & Lynch Cove.
Only highlights here were an Oystercatcher feeding in Tidmoor Cove, a fly-by Common Sandpiper and around five Chiffchaffs in the wood behind the cove.
Further around, towards Lynch Cove, a Cetti's Warbler began scolding us as we passed a hedge it was in and a male Stonechat appeared briefly.
