Ferrybridge Sandflats

It was a quick visit to Ferrybridge this afternoon, before the next wave of wet weather came hammering in from the Channel. First we have weeks of no rain and now it's non-stop.

Main highlights, on a very windswept sandflat, were hundreds of waders, mainly Dunlin and Ringed Plovers, with several Sanderling, 3 Bar-tailed Godwits and 8 Turnstone in amongst them.

A Little Egret was feeding close to the Ferry Bridge, whilst on the embankment I came across a Rook!!
