Bumpers Lane, Broadcroft Quarry Lane, Broadcroft Butterfly Reserve, Upper Horse Paddock and Lower Horse Paddock

What a wet miserable day, though the weather did clear up before the thunder and lightning hit us early evening.

Main highlights on a very late walk were a Song Thrush, 1 Blackcap and 2 Chiffchaff along Broadcroft Quarry Lane.

50+ Common Wasp (Vespula vulgaris)

If you like wasps there are dozens along Broadcroft Quarry Lane. This is a Common Wasp.

Ted in the Lower Horse Paddock, with the storm clouds.......
