Wakeham

It was an afternoon in the garden and more tidying up. Not much in the way of wildlife seen, though a Robin was a pleasant surprise. Its been awhile since I've seen one in the garden

Birds Recorded:
1 Buzzard
40+ Herring Gull
Wood Pigeon
Collared Dove
Dunnock
1 Robin
Long-tailed Tit
Great Tit
Magpie
Carrion Crow
House Sparrow
Linnet
Goldfinch

I was wondering why my Sweet Williams were looking a bit flattened. This Wood Pigeon is feeding on bird seed which has been spilt from the feeder above the pot!!

And Ted realised it was there and scared it off. Behind him is a rare shot of Benji.

A Dunnock under the other feeders further down the garden

An adult Goldfinch feeding on the Nyjer seeds.

And a juvenile Goldfinch feeding on Sunflower hearts

Butterflies Recorded:
1 Large White

Bees Recorded:
Honey Bees (Apis mellifera)
Buff-tailed Bumblebee (Bombus terrestris)
Red-tailed Bumblebee (Bombus lapidarius)

3 Common Wasp (Vespula vulgaris)

A Common Wasp sat on a Lily Pad in the "Bath" Pond.

And another Common Wasp close by on a log.
