Wakeham

I mustn't complain, as the much needed rain didn't stop falling for most of the day. Not sure if its enough to top up the water butts, but any rain is better than no rain.

Consequently there was no walk today, but the dull back garden was lit up this afternoon with a bright yellow Fife Canary.

This was species I used to breed for several years when I lived in Shropshire and then Wiltshire. This individual was first seen on 17 Aug in the Lower Horse Paddock, so it hasn't ventured far.
