Lynch Cove, Tidmoor Cove and Furzedown Farm

It was clean-up day in the caravan and afterwards, Ted and I had our usual walk around the farm and coves.

Main highlights were a family of 10 Swallows at the farm. It looks like they had a successful year. Also about were singles of Common Whitethroat and Blackcap, plus 2 Willow Warblers.

And the mystery butterfly. In fact there wasn't just one but a good dozen or so. They were "orange" in colour, similar to Commas, and about the same size as well. Not once though, did any land, instead they continually flew back and forth over the brambles and vegetation. Even with the shutter set a 1/2000 second I still couldn't get a really sharp image of one.
