Old Quarry Lane and Wakeham Meadow

After a really busy day, it was an early evening walk with Ted. Main highlight was a Wall Brown in the Meadow. A butterfly species I've only seen here on a few occasions.

A Dead Head Hoverfly (Myathropa florea) with slightly deformed abdomen. Possibly it is has just emerged and is still taking "shape"!!
