Here are a few images and videos from today:
Great to come across a Yellow-browed Warbler in Penns Wood this afternoon. There has been one sighted here over the past week or so, so hopefully this will be a long-stayer.
.............in the north-east corner of the cove. This individual looks a lot darker than the juv/females seen here before, but not as black as the adult male also seen here. Is this possibly a fourth Black Redstart to "stop off" at the cove, before moving on!!
Also here in the wood, the female Great Spotted Woodpecker is still in residence.
And extremely busy, as the videos below show.
And after an absence of a few days, a Black Redstart is.....

Here are a couple of short videos of it feeding.......
......though with the strong southerly wind today, it was struggling to find insects in and around the boulders.
After all the storms and huge waves crashing onto the beach, has the winch now......
..........been uncovered after 3 years.
It certainly looks like it.
And Ted has freedom at long last, having...........
.........been cooped up at home because of the weather.
