Old Quarry Lane, Wakeham Meadow, Wakeham Railway Cuttings, Penns Wood, St Andrew's Church, Church Ope Cove, Penn's Weare, Penn's Copse, Rufus Castle and Mermaid Track

No Ted today as both he and Benji were being pampered at the dog salon. Plus what could I say if he took someone else's chips. In fact a few months ago he actually took a slice of pizza out of a bag at Church Ope Cove, so watch out if you see me and Ted on our walks.

A few interesting highlights today which I have listed below.

Penns Wood: 12+ Long-tailed Tits, 3 Chiffchaffs, 6 Goldcrests, several Great Tits & Blue Tits, plus quite a few Chaffinches. Yet again no sign of the Great Spotted Woodpecker.

Church Ope Cove: 1 Black Redstart, 20+ Rock Pipit, 1 Pied Wagtail, 1 Grey Wagtail, 3 Wrens and 3 Oystercatchers.

Here are a few images and videos from today.

Down on the rocks today were these three Oystercatchers,..........

..........these two and a single......

.........bird here.

And they are off.

Followed by a second bird, though the third bird doesn't seem to happy about it.

Just the 1 Black Redstart in the Southeast Corner of the cove. This individual looks very dark, is it possibly a first winter male.

This Grey Wagtail was enjoying a right feast on the Kelp flies, which........

........didn't go unnoticed by a Wren, which kept video bombing.

No photo of Ted today, but a lone fisherman in Church Ope Cove Bay
