Wakeham

It was another wet start to the day, and though there was the promise of sunshine this afternoon, it never materialised. So as per normal, when I can't get out for a walk, here are a few highlights from this day over the past 6 years.

2022
Dunlin in flight at Ferrybridge

2021
The noisy chatter of Starlings before they head off to roost

2020
A Goldcrest in the back garden

2019
One of two Firecrests at Church Ope Cove today. A third individual was along Wakeham Railway Cuttings, a fourth in Penns Wood. Also in Penns Wood today was the long-staying Yellow-browed Warbler and the Eastern Lesser Whitethroat.

2018
A poor shot of a Ring-necked Duck at Radipole Lake RSPB Reserve

2017
Here are two record shots of.........

...............the Pallas's Warbler I found along Broadcroft Quarry Lane on this day.
