Having dropped the car off for its MOT tomorrow, I walked back home via the butterfly reserve and lane.
It was pretty late in the day, with light fading fast, so I was quite surprised to see a male Blackcap on the reserve and 2 Chiffchaffs at the southern end of Broadcroft Quarry Lane.

And a bit of surprise was this male Blackcap also on the reserve.
And at the southern end of Broadcroft Quarry Lane were two Chiffchaffs.
A happy dog, he was wondering whether he was getting a walk today.
