Portland Bill

With Storm Ciarán almost upon us, I drove down to the Bill to see what was developing. Firstly it was very windy and secondly the sea was pretty rough. Goodness knows what tomorrow morning will bring though. Watch this space!!

Well other than the spectacular view of the sea churning over, there were plenty of sea birds close in, although the number of species was very low.

Mammals Recorded:
1 Grey Seal

Birds Recorded:
30+ Gannet
5 Cormorant
20+ Shag
Herring Gull
Great Black-backed Gull
1 Razorbill

One of the 30+ Gannets flying back and forth off The Bill

This juvenile Shag seems.........

..........unsure as to whether it should join the others flying by.

Just one Razorbill seen.
