Ferrybridge Sandflats

On the way back from Weymouth, I dropped into Ferrybridge to see what was about on sandflats. It was almost the bottom of the tide, and looking south I could see dozens of Ringed Plovers and Dunlin running about on the shoreline, with 100+ Mediterranean Gulls all huddled up.

On the exposed mudflats in front of me were 10 Oystercatchers including a few youngsters in amongst them.

There was no sign of any Little Terns, but I could hear two Sandwich Terns, but just couldn't get a visual on them.

When I parked up and walked to the waters edge there were a good 20+ House Martins and Swallows heading west up the Fleet!!
