In amongst the Great Black-backed Gull and Herring Gulls were............
..............two Little Egrets. Note that one of the Herring Gulls has a Shore Crab.
Along the edge of the overflow pipe at Portland Castle Beach.............
...................... were these Red-breasted Mergansers.
In the north-east corner of Portland Harbour, along what is known as the Western Ledges was this Razorbill close in. Another was further out by the north entrance to the harbour.
Now this Rock Pipit was pretty close, just 20 feet or so away.
And it got even closer despite Ted sat next to me.
And it wasn't just the Rock Pipit being sociable, but also this Pied Wagtail having a bit of a scratch.
Portland as seen from the Western Ledge
Ted having a think about where he's going to have a run next
