Apart from a quick trip to the local shops, it was a day spent indoors in the dry.
There was one highlight though, when I sprang out of my chair to the sound of a Yellow-browed Warbler calling at the front of the house. As I opened the front door it suddenly became apparent it was one of the resident Starlings on the roof. Oh how I wished I had my camera to hand to record it "singing". It nearly got me!!!
