Old Quarry Lane, Wakeham Meadow, The Windmills, Wakeham Railway Cuttings, Penns Wood, St Andrew's Church, Rufus Castle and the Museum

There was a real chill in the air this afternoon, not helped by a north-westerly breeze with winds gusting to 34mph.

There was absolutely no point in venturing down to the cove today, as it was busy with Sunday visitors. There were quite a few people clambering over the rocks where the fem/juv Black Redstart normally resides, whilst on the beach there were several people swimming and others walking their dogs. So no Rock Pipits and wagtails either. I can't believe there were people swimming!!!

So the highlights were all at the bottom of Pennsylvania Wood where there were 2 Chiffchaffs feeding in amongst the brambles.
