It was another dreary day and apart from a brief glimpse of blue sky late afternoon, it remained just that, dreary. Only highlight was coming across 6 Blackbirds and a Song Thrush between Wakeham Meadow and the Cuttings. All of them it seemed, were feeding on cotoneaster berries.
The other highlight was 2 Goldcrests heard along my walk.
A first for me and a new addition to my Portland insect list was a Common Striped Woodlouse, I came across on Penn's Weare.

One of 3 Grey Squirrels along the Cuttings. This one on a bird table in the grounds of the local Caravan Park.

Lift any large pebble or rock on the beach and you will more than likely find dozens of sandhoppers like this Talitrus saltator
